cm buildingThe Crystal Manor is a special place, nestled right downtown Crystal Falls, Michigan, since 1923 when it was first opened as the "Crystal Inn" and classified as a very "classy" hotel. The mines closed and in 1961 business fell off. The local people rallied and with determination, renovated and in 1965 opened its doors and welcomed its first residents into the Crystal Manor. Today the nursing home is owned and operated by the Iron County Medical Care Facility. Though very charming and home-like, stringent nursing home standards have risen beyond what the physical building can provide and plans to relocate the residents and employees to a newly built expansion at the Medical Care Facility is planned for late 2004 to early 2005. When entering the warm inviting lobby, you will get a feel for the environment throughout the facility. Whatevercm lobby your interests or talents, you will find Crystal Manor a busy place with stimulating recreational activities, spiritual and social activities offered by our Activities Department aided by the community volunteers and clergy.

We realize that each of our residents has individual needs and our interdisciplinary team works together to develop a plan of care tailored to meet their specific needs. We are a "community" providing,promoting and supporting individual's choices, freedoms, and growth for all residents. Life is worth living and does not end at our front door.
