ICMCF Announces New Medical Director

Iron County Medical Care Facility is pleased to announce our partnership with Theoria Medical. On March 1, 2024, Theoria provided our facility with Dr. Colin Irish as our new Medical Director. In addition to his medical directorship, Dr. Irish will be available onsite on a weekly basis as an attending physician. To compliment Dr. Irish, Theoria Medical will be providing a nurse practitioner to assist us onsite daily beginning April 1, 2024. 

We would also like to extend our greatest appreciation to Dr. Han for his 45 years of medical directorship and Dr. Smith for his 25 years of service provided to our residents. We would like to congratulate Dr. Smith on his retirement and wish him well. We are thrilled to embark on this new journey with Theoria Medical and eagerly anticipate what the future holds.

Our social workers are in the process of contacting families to obtain authorization forms for all of Dr. Han's UPHP residents and Dr. Smith's residents. All of these residents will be transitioned to Theoria.  Please return the consent forms as soon as possible to ensure a smooth transition between providers. There are also consent forms attached below.

All of Dr. Han’s other residents will be given the option to remain with Dr. Han or switch to Theoria. Families and residents will be receiving a physician selection form in the mail along with consent forms for Theoria. If you or your loved one wish to remain with Dr. Han, please indicate this on the physician selection form and return it. It is not necessary to complete the Theoria consents unless you are switching providers.
